Tylese Halliburton reveals how the "dream" WWE plan with John Cena has derailed due to Achilles' tears

Tyrese Halliburton had big plans with WWE and John Cena this summer, but his Achilles injury got in the way.

When he’s not in the courthouse causing chaos for the defense of his opposition, Tyrese Halliburton is often on the WWE show.

Haliburton is a lifelong WWE fan and has appeared in programming multiple times over the years.

Most famously, Halliburton confronted NBA rival Jaren Branson in an episode at Madison Square Garden. This came just a few months after their playoff series. Halliburton embraced the role of the Knicks as the villain.

Last week, Halliburton appeared at Summer Slam to interact with then-WWE champion John Cena. However, according to the All-Stars, the original plans for the show were completely different.

Tyrese Haliburton was recently a guest on her homemade channel. When discussing its recent appearance at WWE Summerslam, Haliburton shed light on the original plan.

Initially, Halliburton pitched to accompany John Cena as John Cena (wrestling villain) at the NBA Championship at MetLife Stadium to capitalize on his reputation among New York Knicks fans.

“I’ll tell you the truth. I had a little conversation with Triple H before I got hurt and before the playoffs began. I didn’t know if I’d tell this story publicly.

“I said, “I’m begging you. If Cena is still in the heels (the villain) coming at Summer Slam time and we’re winning the championship, you have to have me chip him out with MetLife.

“It’ll be the coldest.” He said, “We’ll talk about it…” Of course I texted me more than anyone else.

“If we saw those tears when we lost, #1 was about winning the championship and getting injured.

Fans asked Tyreese Halliburton about his involvement in physical abilities, whether it be a match or an interaction. He revealed how the Indiana Pacers wouldn’t allow it.

“Hell no! They don’t let it happen. If I do that, if you’ve seen me in the ring and I do something physical, I didn’t ask for permission, so I’m in trouble right away.

It makes sense why the Indiana Pacers don’t allow this. Given the cruel nature of professional wrestling, their star players are at great risk.

So, if Jalen Branson and Tyrese Halliburton wanted each other to face each other, as Dennis Rodman and Carl Malone did at WCW, it’s best to give up that hope.

However, Halliburton has a great relationship with current content head Triple H. Hopefully the Indiana Pacers star will make plenty of appearances in the upcoming WWE programming.
