Prior to his own game seven in the NBA Finals, Tyrees Halliburton recalled his feelings watching the Cavaliers and Warriors competed with it.
Expectations are rising as the Indiana Pacers prepare to become the biggest game in franchise history.
Pacer has a chance to win the NBA Championship tonight if he can beat the powerful Oklahoma City Thunder at home in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Their Game 6 performance was truly incredible. Pascal Siakam was the Pacers’ best player in Game 6 and offered yet another strong outing.
Tyreese Halliburton played 24 minutes and contributed at a high level despite being suspicious due to initial injuries.
For a few more days to rest, Halliburton feels even more confident towards the game. Heading for the Big Knight, Tyrees Halliburton was asked about his last great game 7 in the NBA Finals and what he felt he was watching it.
Tyrees Halliburton, who spoke to the media ahead of Game 7 of the NBA Finals, looked back on the league’s final game.
Looking back at the epic battle between the Cavaliers and Warriors, Halliburton spoke about how he saw the game, why he thinks it is the best basketball game he’s seen as a fan, and why he’s excited to increase the history of the NBA Game 7S.
“I don’t necessarily remember that day, I remember what the game was like, the energy of the game, being with friends and watching it together.
“It was a mix of Cavs fans, a mixture of Warriors fans, and I think it’s probably one of the best games I’ve ever seen as a basketball fan.
“That’s what makes Game 7 so much fun. Especially for people of my age, that’s Peak Game 7. So I’m excited to add a story of Game 7’s history and add it to the history of the game.”
Few people would have chosen the Indiana Pacers to participate in the NBA Finals at the beginning of the season. In fact, Kendrick Perkins argued that the Pacers would not reach the playoffs early in the campaign.
But they have one victory from the historic NBA Championship. Heading into the game makes me nervous when I think about what is at risk.
However, the pacer is not the only side under pressure. It’s a terrible look for lightning to have such a strong side and great season, and only lack in the final hurdle.
Losing to the unlikely Indiana Pacers team would be a devastating blow. In fact, Draymond Green believes that if OKC Thunder loses Game 7, he may not be able to win the championship.
With a lot of lines on both sides, they will certainly play the emergency brand of basketball.
Game 7 of the NBA Finals is off tonight on ABC at 8pm on EST from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
