Indiana Pacers star Tyrees Halliburton had some of the unnecessary attention headed towards Game 2 of the playoff matchup.
After offering an NBA playoff opener beatdown, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 123-115 victory in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference.
Tyreese Halliburton followed the performance where Dock Rivers praised him after Game 1, leading the Pacers with 21 points and 12 assists.
Pascal Siakam provided the main help of the Indiana Superstar and registered 24 points and 11 rebounds as the Ball Club witnessed another successful mass attack, tallying by the four other Pacers in double digits with scores led by Andrew Nenbird’s 17.
Now holding a compelling 2-0 lead, Pacers are experiencing every momentum of momentum as the series moves to Milwaukee for games 3 and 4.
Prior to the match, it was revealed that Tyreese Halliburton has passed the athletic vote for the league’s most overrated players.
The poll showed 158 anonymous NBA players taking part, and Pacers security guards raised 14.4% of the vote. Rudy Gobert (10%) and Trae Young (8.9%) filled in the top three rankings.
Shortly after Game 2, Halliburton suggested that he was not troubled by any negative conceptions of his peers.
“It didn’t affect tonight’s play,” he said.
“If that’s the case, I’m sure I’m doing the right thing. There’s no big speeches or comments. All I care about is this locker room and the winning game. And we’re in a position to go to Milwaukee and continue this series.
“I’m not too worried about that. I’m confident in my skin. I’m not worried about what anyone thinks. My teammates trust me, my front office, my coaching staff. I’m fine.
Statistically, this season has been the worst mark for Halliburton since he joined the Pacers, averaging 18.6 points and 9.2 assists in 73 games. He also failed to reach the cut of the 2025 All-Star list after the start of the season.
Nevertheless, he remained the driving force behind the Pacers’ success, leading the franchise to a four-final finish with 50 wins in the final East regular season standings. He also made history several times, including special statistical combinations comparable to Magic Johnson.
Halliburton can irritate his enemies and fans through his pure confidence and frequent trash stories. Even Bucks legend Marquez Johnson called him out for his “disorient” gestures against Lillard.
As far as Pacers manager Rick Carlisle is concerned, the recent league votes covered by Halliburton have been under-reputable.
“I heard about this,” the Pacers coach said. “The others on the list were Jimmy Butler and Giannis, yes.
“This is a bull. It’s a poll. No one even answered the poll. It’s okay. If everyone wanted, I answered it. Everything is a bull.
“Jimmy Butler will be an MVP finalist if he went to Golden State a month and a half ago. Let’s see what the guy did. And Giannis, are you kidding me?
The ultimate applause that Halliburton can do is very easy. It will lead the Pacer to its first NBA championship this postseason.
