The Philadelphia 76ers improved to 9 wins and 6 losses in the Eastern Conference.

The Philadelphia 76ers’ most recent win came against their conference rival, the Milwaukee Bucks, with Philadelphia posting a 123-114 OT victory.

Multiple 76ers stars played key roles in the OT victory, but none other than Tyrese Maxey played the most important role.

So far, Maxey has been unstoppable in the 2025-26 NBA season. Statistics show that Maxey is better than Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Returning to his performance against the Bucks, Maxey played a game-high 47 minutes and finished the night with 54 points, five rebounds, and nine assists.

As a result, the 76ers star earned a perfect 10 from SofaScore for his career-high performance.

It was a career-high scoring night for the 76ers star, but it wasn’t the first time Maxey topped 50 points. 1x NBA All-Star Top 5 Scoring Games:

Those are impressive numbers for a player who was the 21st overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The 76ers have only won the NBA Championship three times in franchise history, but the organization has been fortunate to have a talented roster of star players.

Maxey could be their next big star, and if he wins the MVP award this season, he could be catapulted into superstardom.

Speaking of which, history is on Maxey’s side as he has already scored 40 points in five or more games in his career. Here’s why this is important:

Wilt Chamberlain, Allen Iverson, and Joel Embiid all had five or more 40-point games in a 76ers jersey and won MVP awards.

It seems destined that Maxey will win the MVP award someday, and the way he plays, it could happen by the end of the 2025-26 season.
