The Golden State Warriors tried their best to seal their spot in the playoffs.
After losing to the LA Clippers and becoming the seventh seed, the Golden State Warriors had two paths into the playoffs.
The first was to defeat the Grizzlies and book a playoff series with the Houston Rockets. They won 121-116 and avoided the route where they had to fight for the series with the top seed OKC Thunder.
The Warriors came to the top in a game where both sides had controversial referee calls, but did not dispute Jimmy Butler’s 38 points and Stephen Curry’s 37 glow.
Stephen Curry is the Golden State Warriors’ biggest superstar and one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.
At the age of 37, his shooting was still considered elite, and it may never disappear with age. But the place you could forgive him a little was if his feet started to get tired.
This doesn’t seem to be true, judging by the Warriors’ high effort performance against the Grizzlies.
Curry’s non-stop efforts were quoted by Udonis Haslem in the NBA of ESPN today.
“It’s crazy for him to cover. I want to know how much he’s running the game. That’s why he’s him.”
NBA insider Brian Windhorst was able to turn in statistics that left his co-host awe-inspiring.
“He ran three miles for most of the season last night,” Windhorst revealed.
This impressive feat shows that Curry raised his level in the perfect moment, spurring the warriors to victory.
Jimmy Butler has produced the Warriors’ biggest performance ever. It’s the perfect time to show why he’s called “Playoff Jimmy.”
Udonis Haslem saw him produced for the Miami Heat for many years and took the team to the NBA Finals in 2020 and 2023.
“He’s great early, he’s very offensive and that’s what takes the team to another level,” Haslem said as he discussed Butler’s abilities.
Now preparing for a physical battle with the Rocket, which can go to seven matches, Golden State plans to rest for a few days before the action begins again.
