The UFC 316 main card is official.
In just four weeks, the UFC will return to Newark’s Prudential Center at UFC 316, winning another title fight with the latest pay-per-view card. In the main event, Bantamweight Champion’s Merab Dvalishvili puts his belt on the line in a rematch with the man he shot the title. “Suga” has not fought since losing the title to Dvalishvili, but nevertheless, he won a crack at the champion who made his first successful title defense in January, making a unanimous decision against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 311.
In the co-main event, women’s bantamweight champion Julian Napeña posted a recently played title with former PFL champion Kaera Harrison. Pena won the title in a decisive victory split by Raquel Pennington at UFC 307, but Harrison was 2-0 in the UFC, earning a unanimous decisive victory over Ketrenvieira on the same card. The winner is expected to return the female MMA Goater Mandanunes to the cage after two years of retirement.
Also on the main card, middleweight standout Kelvin Gastherum will face up to Joe Pyfer in the evening features and former bantamweight title challenger Marlon Bella against fellow top-10 fighter Mario Bautista. A welterweight scrap between Vicente Luque and Kevin Holland opens the main card.
UFC 316 will take place on June 7th, with the main card broadcast live on ESPN+ Pay-per-view.
