UFC 319 Poster Release Featuring Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev

Dricus du Plessis will find the headline again in another dangerous championship challenge.

The official UFC 319 poster has been released, with Du Plessis and undefeated Khamzat Chimaev in face-to-face. Du Plessis vs. Chimaev discovers that UFC returned to Chicago’s United Center on August 16th.

Du Plessis (23-2) has yet to lose in the octagonal interior with a perfect 9-0 record since joining the UFC in 2020. He is seeking three consecutive successful title defenses after winning Israel Adesanya and Shawn Strickland.

Standing on the other side of Du Plessis is Chimaev, 8-0 in the UFC, six of which will be brought by knockouts and submissions. On his recent outing, Chimaev recorded the submission of Robert Whitaker’s horrifying face cranks, removing some of the former champion’s teeth.

The joint main event has not been officially announced at the August 16th event, but the cards feature some important matches. Veteran middleweight candidate Jared Cannonier will face Michael Page, but the welterweight candidate match between Geoff Neal and Carlos Prates is intended to take place in Chicago.
