Beral Muhammad is not known exactly for his knockout power, but the real-life welterweight world champion is set to change this Saturday night.
“Remember Name,” which excluded almost a year from his dominant show with Manchester’s Leon Edwards, places his gold on the line for surges challenger Jack Della Madarena at UFC 315 in Montreal.
Muhammad got on a 10-game winning streak and finished just two opponents during that run, and got his only knockout with Sean Brady in the second half of 2022.
Muhammad says he will finish “JDM” within three rounds
However, despite a mere 20% finish rate within the Octagon, the Chicago native is sure he has the power of his hands, and he plans to show off it against his Australian opponents at Great White North.
“Send the contract regardless of who,” Muhammad said in the first episode of UFC 315 Embedded. “Then we finally let me know that it was Jack. Another guy with double digit victory I had to take. Another guy who can say they came out to me, I go out there and show Canelo’s hand and show the world why I’m the best. We finish him with three.”
Meanwhile, Maddalena finished five of her seven opponents within Octagon with a total of 12 knockouts against 17 career victories.
Still, the odds maker is on the top in favor of Muhammad. As it stands, “remember the Name” is -250’s favorite to snap Maddalena’s 14-match winning streak.
