UFC fan favorite Angela Hill says she can save the drama for her mom.
“Overkill” will take a stroll to the Octagon for the 28th this Saturday night when she meets Brazilian standout Iasmin Lucindo at UFC Fight Night.
Hill has been the mainstay in the 115 pound division for over a decade. Along the way, she competes with some of the biggest names in the game. These include Cara Esparza, “The Violent Criminal” Rosenama Junas, Jessica Andredo, Yangion, Verna Jandirova and Mackenzie Dern. But perhaps even more impressive than her resume is the fact that she never allows herself to win personal issues throughout her 12-year career as a comprehensive martial artist.
In fact, Hill thinks that dragging drama into the Octagon would only work for her.
“It doesn’t matter if the girl I’m fighting for (__) or the sweetest person in the world. They’re in my way,” Hill told MMA Junkie. “So I feel that’s the best motivation, and I also feel like I’m fighting better with people who don’t have drama.”
Angela Hill is about to continue her UFC hot streak
Following a frustrating series of losses to see her fall into three straights, Hill has been 3-1 in the last four in recent years. On her recent outing, she recorded a rare split decision victory over Ketren Sousa, bouncing off her defeat against Tabatha Rich in August 2024.
As for her opponent, Iasmin Lucindo enters the look of the seventh UFC who has decided to return to the victory column after making a unanimous decision to Amanda Lemos earlier this year. Before that, she was on a three-game winning streak, including the defeats of Karolina Kovalkivitz and Marina Rodriguez.
