UFC Vancouver’s main event officially begins.
At UFC Vancouver’s official weigh-in on Friday, headliners Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen successfully weighed in for a middleweight bout, with both men weighing in at 186 pounds using the 1-pound weight limit.
De Ridder enters Saturday’s match on the cusp of a title shot with four straight wins. The former ONE 2-division champion was scheduled to face Anthony Hernandez in a title bout at UFC Vancouver, but “Fluffy” withdrew from the bout and Allen took his place. “All In” lost to Hernandez in a rematch earlier this year, but bounced back with a decision win over Marvin Vettori in July.
A co-main event bout between Kevin Holland and Mike Marotte was also set, with Holland weighing in at 170.5 pounds and Marotte taking advantage of the 1-pound bracket at 171 pounds.
The other 22 fighters competing on Saturday all weighed in and appeared to be OK.
UFC Vancouver will be held at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
