Rhys McKee’s first UFC victory took a long time and was even sweeter with a $50,000 bonus.
In his second run and fifth battle with the promotion, Mackie finally made one in the winning column with Daniel Furunza’s awful first round Doctor Stop-out at UFC Vegas 105. This was Mackie’s moment when he parted ways with the promotion after going to Octagon 0-2 in 2020. He returned in 2023 and lost two more fights before defeating Hunza on Saturday.
For his efforts, Mackie was awarded his first UFC performance in his night bonus, as was Dion Barbosa and Chang Ho Lee.
Barbosa has raised the extra $50,000 in her dominant grappling performance against Diana Belvita. This ended with Barbasa forcing Belvita to use the triangular choke on his arm. This victory has improved Barbosa’s UFC record to 2-1.
Lee had made his UFC debut appropriately after winning the road to the UFC tournament and winning a contract. He also used grappling to put a one-sided beatdown on the ironic Romion. There was one traffic for over eight minutes before Lee scored a TKO finish late in Round 2.
As the night fights were not distributed, four performance night bonuses were awarded, the other went to flyweight veteran Ode Osborne.
Osbourne signed Luis Gurule in Round 2 with Strikes with his recent contender series, continuing to collect his first bonus since June 2022.
