Nassourdine Imavov is planning to issue a statement at UFC Paris.
Following Israel’s Adesanya highlight reel knockout in February, the top-ranked competitor in the middleweight division will add another big finish to his resume when he meets streaking sensation Caio Borralho in the City of Light this Saturday night.
“No doubt I’m going to finish him. I’m always going to go look for a finish between fights,” Imabov told MMA Fighting.
Nassoldeen’s Imabov loves fighting in Paris
Although he is from Dagestan, Paris works as Imavov’s adoption home and always enjoys the opportunity to do shows for the people of France.
“It’s exactly the third time I’ve fought in Paris. I love fighting in front of a crowd. A huge amount of energy. Just as much responsibility as the privilege of fighting in front of a crowd.
“I’m just not. I’m just different. I’m different like everyone else in weight. Weight department, weight class. I’m focusing on this fight right now, but after this fight, I’ll focus on the next fight and prepare everything.
Currently, Imabov is the number one candidate in the middleweight division. By beating Borralho, he will likely be the first newly minted man of the 185-pound Khamzat Chimaev. However, if Bolarho extends his undefeated streak to 10, he could jump to the top of the line and get his shot with the undefeated Chechen monster.
Needless to say, if two of the brightest stars in the department step into the UFC Paris cage, your stakes are high.
