An update was provided on the conditions of the third rider injured at Alton Park on Monday.
Two riders tragically lost their lives after an incident in a supersport race at the British Superbike Championship Round.
Police are investigating the clash that killed Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson.
However, the first news about Tom Tunstall, who was injured in the same incident, was released Tuesday evening.
“We can confirm that Tom Tunstall maintains a broken bone in his neck and is currently caring for the Royal Stoke Hospital team of experts,” a statement from BSB read.
“He is in serious condition, but he is stable and has received the best possible treatment.
“The doctors are closely monitoring his progress and will decide in the next few days whether surgery is necessary.
“At this point, we are expecting a slow, but hopefully full recovery.”
After a sad incident in which two riders took their lives, the tributes are flooded with the racing community.
