Usman Nurmagomedov and Paul Hughes clashed in 2025 in one of the best fights of the year and now they’re going to try again.
Lightweight will be meeting at the main event when he returned to Dubai for the Champions Series card on Friday, October 3rd at Coca-Cola Arena.
In January, Nurmagomedov remained unbeaten in a razor majority-decised victory in a battle with Hughes before and after. Since that night, Hughes has been seeking a rematch, but first he had to send Bruno Miranda in May with a ferocious 42-second knockout.
Currently, Hughes has the second opportunity in a rematch booked against Nurmagomedov in October.
In addition to the lightweight title fight, Corey Anderson will return to action to defend the PFL Light Heavyweight Championship in a rematch with 2024 PFL Light Heavyweight Tournament champion Dofrett Yagushimuradov.
Their first encounter came when Anderson recorded a third round TKO victory at the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix in 2021. Yagshimuradov won his rematch after winning seven wins, including Kasanganay’s knockout to win the PFL tournament title in 2024.
Dubai’s PFL cards also feature previously reported Artem Lobov and Zubaira Tukhugov as their longtime rivals are finally trying to settle business in the cage.
Here is the full card, which stands for PFL Dubai in October,:
Main Event: Usman Nurmagomedov vs. Paul Hughes
