Emily Hansen faced Amanda Mazza in a six-minute straw wight match at the Cage Fury FC BJJ event in Philadelphia on Saturday. Two minutes after the fight, Mazza was in a good position and attacked Hansen with a naked chalk in the rear, but something strange happened afterwards.
As Mazza tried to secure the chalk, her arms appeared to make a terrifying pop, causing confusion around.
Check out the strange sequence below.
Judgment Viter “Shaolin” Ribeiro intervenes to understand the situation, and the fighter quickly resets with Mazza with back control, but a few seconds later he realizes something is wrong. The match was then stopped due to an injury to Mazza’s arm.
The extent of the injury is unknown, but Mazza later posted a message on her Instagram story joking about the incident.
“Thank you to everyone for their love and sweet messages,” writes Mazza. “I’m still laughing and I’m back and it’s getting better, but that mat is coming back.
“It’s so good, I didn’t even feel my arm cracked on her chin.”
According to both fighters, they first stopped the fight. Mazza thought the pop sound was due to her jaw injury. After all, Hansen was fine and it was Massa who needed to see a doctor right afterwards.
“Hmm, so I won with Iron Chin tonight,” Hansen wrote in his Instagram story. “Seriously, this wasn’t even in the realm of possibilities tonight. Amanda was such a good guy and I stopped her because she thought my jaw had popped out.
