Former UFC heavyweight Maurice Greene is adding to her resume outside her cage after landing a role featured in a new horror film heproduced by Academy Award winner Jordan Peel.
The first trailer for he On Friday, during a training session with lead star Tyriq Withers, a veteran fighter appeared with blood flowing into his face, causing Greene to fall in the middle of the footage, creating a horrifying look.
The film features Marlon Weyan, Tim Heidecker, Australian comic Jim Jeffries Plus Green and hip-hop star Guapudad 4000, and Grammy nominee Tierra, the latter making its feature film debut.
He follows the Wizards as Cameron Cade, a rising star quarterback who dedicated his life and identity to football. On the eve of Pro Football’s annual Scouting Combine, Cam is attacked by a hinged fan and suffers from career-ending brain trauma.
When everything appears to be lost, Cam receives Lifeline, the legendary eight-time championship quarterback and cultural megastar, his hero Isaiah White (Wyan), and his celebrity influencer wife Elsie White (Julia Fox; Uncut gems, no sudden movement). But as Cam’s training accelerates, Isaiah’s charisma begins to bundle up into the dark, sending his protégé into a disorientated rabbit hole that could be more expensive than he’s ever negotiated.
He skips Bronkie, directed by Justin Chip, based on a black list script by author Zack Akers, and via his Monkeypaw Productions label, featuring Peee as executive producer.
