Newcastle United Central defender Dan Byrne sent a message to his old teammate Alexander Isaac after a controversial move to Liverpool.
Isaac joined the Reds on deadline day after a long saga that skipped Newcastle’s pre-season fixture and saw the launch of a new Premier League campaign.
This, of course, didn’t work with a large number of Newcastle fans, and Byrne admitted he could understand Magpie supporters being frustrated.

Dan Byrne’s Message to Alexander Isaac
Speaking at the press conference, Byrne said:
“I was in football long enough to understand that the careers are short for players and that they have what they want to achieve.”
He added:
“I only have good feelings for Alex. There’s no hostility.
“As a Newcastle fan, obviously… we are very protective of the club and we want players who want to play for Newcastle to be there.
“I understand why our fans are getting frustrated, but I’m in the game long enough to understand what’s going on, so I hope Alex is the best apart from when playing Liverpool.”
How can Newcastle bounce off the Isaac exit?
Newcastle had a pretty good summer except for Isaac’s exit, bringing some top talent in the offense.
Anthony Elanga joined from Nottingham Forest early in the summer, and Magpie continued it with the late moves of Nick Urtemaid and Joane Wissa.
Swapping ISAKs is not easy, but Newcastle has many other excellent players on this team. Eddie Howe is enough manager to help the club get back from this set time.
