In recent years, butter bean health has declined significantly. He struggled with mobility, relied on a wheelchair for three years, reaching a weight of 515 pounds. However, with the help of former wrestler Diamond Dallas Page and the DDP Yoga Program, butter beans lost a considerable amount of weight. His comeback is said to be incredible, and fans and peers alike have praised his resolve to restore his health.
Butterbean, whose real name is Eric Esch, is best known for his explosive boxing career in the 1990s and early 2000s, accumulating a professional record of 58 wins and 77 wins in knockouts. Standing in 5’11, the butter beans have become famous for their knockout power and larger-than-life persona in recent years, weighing over 500 pounds.
Minoru Suzuki
Suzuki, by contrast, is a Japanese wrestling, MMA pioneer, co-founder of Punk Race, and is one of the most respected figures in Japanese combat sports. At 5’10” and about 225 pounds, Suzuki is known for his efforts, catch wrestling skills and his renowned career, including New Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and the current Pro Wrestling Noah Championship.

However, the match itself was a slow-paced event, reflecting the age and physical limitations of both competitors. The action consisted of four rounds of two minutes, consisting mainly of slow strike exchanges, corner grapplings and short moments of attack from both men. Butterbean tried to use his size and boxing background, but Suzuki brought his grappling skills. Dan Severn, who now has white hair, had his hands full, keeping his hands full, moving and separating combatants when necessary.
The match ended with a double countout after both men fought to the floor, and neither of them were able to secure a decisive victory. The event also featured a post-match conflict involving MMA legend Don Frye, adding another nostalgia to longtime fans.
The Butterbean vs Minor Suzuki match was not about technical wrestling, but a celebration of two aged warriors.
