Sporting’s prolific striker Viktor Gyokeres is confident that the next chapter of his career will unfold in the Premier League.
Sources close to TBR football have revealed that despite interest from across Europe, the 27-year-old Swede has solid plans to play for England next season.
Gyoker has revealed to the sports board that he wants to make a leap into the UK.
With an exceptional record of 97 goals in 102 matches over two seasons and 54 goals in 52 matches for the final semester, he is in prime position commanding attention from elite clubs.
Arsenal leads the race and signs Gyoker
After talks with Arsenal, he believes Premier League football is within reach.
While Manchester United are fighting, it appears Arsenal has moved on.
Gyokeres Camp and Sports President Frederico Varandas recently locked the horn at a rate after feeling that there was a gentleman’s agreement to let go of around 70 million euros, well below the release clause of less than 100 million euros.
Graeme Bailey, Chief Correspondent of TBR Football, shows that Gökeres is only confident in England’s moves.
“Speaking to the sources, Gyoker is sure he will be moving this summer and believes he will be in the UK.
“He made it clear from the start that contracting with the Saudi Arabian professional league is not a consideration despite the approach this month.
“Arsenal and Mann United are in constant contact. The line of communication with these two clubs has been ongoing for several months.
“The player representatives are working hard on his future, but there is no deadline here. This month may be the case, but perhaps July will be said before anything is agreed, but there is no panic. They are calm.”
Man United is also fighting to sign the Swedish people
Both options are attractive as Arsenal joined the Champions League, currently leading the bids and United are also active, but the league positions and projects seem to support the Gunners.
Both clubs are in constant contact and Gyoker’s camp wants to clarify its assessment to satisfy all involved.
The Premier League Giants are currently exploring other options in the market.
Arsenal reportedly will indulge in consultations with RB Leipzig to learn more about Benjamin Sesco’s contract, while meeting with the Red Devils with agents of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovich.
