Volkanovski vs. Lopes ends the night drought battle

The UFC handed out four bonuses after UFC 314 on Saturday, including a night fight for the first time in a month.

Night Performance: Paddy Pimblett

Paddy Pimblett def. Michael Chandler (Strike) via TKO – Round 3, 3:07

Paddy Pimblett (23-3 MMA, 7-0 UFC) thoroughly dominated his fifth performance with seven Octagon appearances, finishing Michael Chandler with his third TKO in the bloody CoMain event.

Night Battle: Alexander Volkanovsky vs Diego Lopez

Alexander Volkanovski def. Diego Lopez (48-47, 49-46, 49-46)

Alexander Volkanovski (27-5 MMA, 14-4 UFC) and Diego Lopes (27-6 MMA, 6-1 UFC) closed the show with a five-round thriller with memorable moments and huge momentum shaking. Ultimately, Volkanovski raised his hand by the unanimous decision that it would be the first fight to win the incontroversial title after a string of losses.
