Golden State’s Steph Curry suffered a hamstring injury in Game 1 and The Timberwolves on Tuesday night. He left the game in the second quarter and did not return.

Luckily, the Warriors are on the verge of a 99-88 victory over Minnesota. Golden State took a 1-0 series lead, but lost a piece that was important to the team’s success. Curry had an MRI on his hamstring on Wednesday and suffered from Grade 1 tension. It’s the first muscle tension of a curry professional career. The 37-year-old will not be available for Game 2 on Thursday.

Who will step up to the Warriors without Steph Curry in Game 2?

There was a stark contrast between the three-point efficiency from the Warriors and Timberwolf in Game 1. As a team, Golden State was 18-42, .429% over the Ark. Meanwhile, Timberwolves struggled to make shots from Deep. They were 5-29 over the arc and missed the first 16th straight. Ultimately, Naz Reed defeated the seal and created Minnesota’s first three early in the third quarter.

The Timberwolves struggled beyond the arc, but the Warriors made 18 threes. They beat Minnesota 39 points from deep. Additionally, the Warriors had three players, with at least three triples in Game 1. One of them was Steph Curry. However, 37 years old cannot be used in Game 2. Curry suffered from hamstring strains in the second quarter of Game 1 and won an MRI on Wednesday. He is expected to miss about a week for the Warriors.

When curry appears in Game 2, Golden State will need to step up Jimmy Butler. He has given the Warriors a solid play so far, but they need him on another level. It’s not easy to do in Game 2 vs Minnesota. Without curry, they know that the Warriors will look to Butler. Chris Finch will make defensive adjustments to get Butler out of rhythm. How will the Timberwolves react in Game 2 after failing to score 90 points?
