In an incredible power hit exhibit, Salman Nizar etched his name into the record book with his ferocious performance at the Green Field Cricket Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
With a finish that surprised fans and opponents, Salmannizar destroyed the 11 Six in the final two overs. This brought his team, Calicut Globstars, from six legal deliveries in the final to six sixes, from 186/6, to aboard appreciation for the Trivandrum Royals.
Salmannizar recorded 31 runs in his 19th and ran in the 40th final in the Kerala Cricket League 2025
The drama unfolded in the final two overs of the innings, with Glovester struggling 115/6 after 18 overs. At that point, it seemed that the Calicut side had to settle for a poor total, especially given the quality of the bowling attacks of Trivandrum Royals.

In particular, Nizar had the opportunity to showcase his trial skills earlier this year with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite being impressed by the trial, he was unable to offer a contract from the five-time IPL 2025 champions.

Salman Nizar’s explosive knock sets new KCL records
His cruel onslaught helped the Calicut Globestars score 71 runs in the final two overs, setting a new Kerala Cricket League record for most runs scored in the final two overs of the T20 game. Nizar’s funny innings is one of the best T20 knocks an Indian batsman has ever played.
Nizer’s performance was important to his team’s campaign. After an inconsistent season, Calicut will need to win this KCL 2025 match and reach the top two in the points table. Meanwhile, the defeat leaves Trivandrum Royals in an unstable position. Because they’ve already sat at the bottom of the points table with one victory from six matches.
