The Delhi Capitals are firmly in the backfoot in their ongoing match against the Mumbai Indians at Wanquedeh Stadium. Setting a target of 181 runs, the Delhi-based outfit lost five wickets in just 65 runs within 10 overs.
In the ongoing game, it wasn’t very correct for the Delhi Capitals. If Ashutosh Sharma had timed out, things could have gone from bad to worse. The right-handed batter went out to bat after the Delhi Capitals lost their fifth wicket in the 10th.
When Delhi Capitals batsman Ashutosh Sharma took the time before he was hit by strike, many Mumbai Indian players, including Captain Hardik Pandya, sued for “timeout” fire. Hardik asked the judge, “Kiya toh out hai?” Slowly and charming before leaving.

According to existing ICC rules, “After a wicket collapse or a batter’s retirement, the incoming batter must either not be ready to receive the ball unless the time is called, or the other batter must be ready to receive the next ball within two minutes of firing or retirement.
After the appeal, both judges chatted briefly before finally making a decision in the favor of the batsmen. Ashutosh Sharma was lucky to avoid strange fire and was trying to make use of it.

Speaking about the game, the Delhi Capitals were on 103/5 at the end of the 14th at the time of writing this report. Samia Rizvi was batting at 39, while Ashutosh Sharma was undefeated at the age of 18. Early in the match, the Mumbai Indians finished the innings 180/5 thanks to Suryakumal Yadav’s unbeaten 73 runknock.
The Delhi Capitals need to win the ongoing game to stay alive in the competition. The match is a virtual quarterfinal for them. Victory keeps them alive, but defeat ends the campaign at the league stage.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians will be the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs this season if they defeat Delhi. If the outcome follows the Delhi path, the final playoff spot will be decided after their final league game with Mumbai. Both teams face the Punjab Kings in their final league game.
