In the first round of the 2025 playoffs, perhaps the most entertaining series is Clippers vs Nuggets. Three of the five games so far have been determined by one ownership.

On Tuesday evening, the Nuggets returned home to host the Clippers from Game 5. The series was tied 2-2. In a game that felt like a must-see, the Nuggets’ Jamal Murray had the third highest scoring game of his postseason career. He scored a game-high 43 points when Denver defeated the Clippers 131-115. Jamal Murray scored 43 points against the Clippers in Game 5 on Tuesday. It’s the sixth of his postseason career, over 40 points performance. Murray took part in the 2025 playoffs with a hamstring injury, but has returned to shape. His 43-point explosion on Tuesday was his best game in these playoffs. The 28-year-old was 17-26 from the field and 8-14 beyond the arc.

It was Murray’s third postseason game, with at least eight three pointers being made. He gave him the fifth and fifth in NBA history behind Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Ray Allen and Steph Curry. Additionally, Murray received seven assists and three steals in Denver’s 131-115 victory. It was a closely contested series between the Nuggets and the Clippers. Jamal Muray helped his team win in the pivotal Game 5.

Nicola Zhokic played a triple double on Tuesday, but spent an offensively quiet night compared to his previous productions. He scored 13 points in Game 5. But interim head coach David Adelman said that was part of the reason Denver was successful. When Jamal Murray plays up Jokic, the team is hard to beat. If a team wins Game 5, there is an 82.8% chance of winning the series. Will Denver be able to last longer than the Clippers in this first round matchup before and after?
