Dewald Brevis brought a different type of energy to the Chennai Super Kings of IPL. After playing an epic inning with bat in an ongoing match against the Punjab Kings, he had a great catch on the field and removed Shashank Singh.

The Chennai Super Kings became the first team officially eliminated
Dewald Brevis went out in the game for a decent outing. He played 32 innings from 26 balls on the bat. The right-hander hit over 123 strike rates and two fours and one six strike rates during his stay.
However, his efforts were in vain as the Punjab Kings won the game with a 4-wicket margin. The loss has made the Chennai Super Kings the first team officially removed from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
