KL Rahul is 137 in two innings
The right-handed opening batsman saw a classy touch in the first Test against the three lions in the first Test of the series, playing an impressive knock in both innings.
He failed to score big in the first innings, but he made up for it by slamming sensational centers in two innings and putting his team in a dominant position in the match.
Rahul was in full control during his stay in the middle, but he was not troubled by an English bowler. He also hit some classy cover drives and built a key partnership at Leeds Headingley.
He didn’t seem to go out until the end of the fourth day, but he went out in an unfortunate way in the 85th inning bowled by the Bridon Cars.
On the second ball in the over, the Bridonkers bowled a lengthy delivery on a wider line, and Rahul tried to play a cut short but were fooled by an extra bounce.
KL Rahul managed to get an inner edge and the ball hits his mid-stump. The batsman dangled his head in frustration after leaving with 137 balls and 18 four balls.

There is a pretty clear plan as a bowling unit – Brydon Carse
Speaking to the ECB prior to the start of play on the fourth day, Bridonkers said the match was evenly poised. He said:
“Yeah, look, I think both teams are in a pretty uniform position right now. Obviously, over the last two days we’ve been very successful as a team and stayed in this game and today we’ve become a good position.
Brydon Carse added that they have a clear set of plans as bowling units and are trying to implement them. He said:
“Of course, that’s obviously a cliché, but we see how we think we got 50 runs in the final seven wickets in the first innings, so we know how important it is.
