Rajasthan Royals’ replacement skipper Riyan Parag took a decent outing with the bat during his match against the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Barsa Para Cricket Stadium in Guwahati is holding the 11th game of the tournament.
Riyan Parag, who went out for Bat Number 4, looked quite positive during his stay in the crease. The Rajasthan Royals’ stand-in skipper achieved a timely boundary to maintain his run rate, keeping his team in the right position until he was in the crease.
Liyan Parag had some clear shots in the innings and was ready for the first half of all season. However, the batsman had a terrible end to the innings, so he first dealt a blow to the elbow.
On the fourth ball in the 18th, Matheesha Pathirana bowled a short delivery, and Riyan Parag missed early in the pull. The ball hit his right forearm/elbow and he felt a great deal of pain. He quickly placed the bat and ran to the side of the pitch in pain.
The batter was inflamed with pain and the ball hit a flash of bone. Physios also came out in a hurry, and after some treatment he returned to his feet. But that certainly hindered his confidence, and Matheesha Pathirana cashed it in the next ball very much.
Matheesha Pathirana bowled pinpoints from Stump Yorker. This was definitely the best ball in the game. The ball continued to hit the base of the off-stump as Liyan Parag tried to swing across the line.
