Just hours after uncertainty over Pakistan’s 2025 match against the UAE, umpire Luchira Pariyaguruj on the field was hit in the head by Mohammad Harris.
Pakistani legendary bowler Wasim Akram responded by yelling “Bullseye” before the judge left during the UAE innings.
Pakistan won the UAE by 41 runs in a group stage match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, September 17th.

The incident took place in the sixth innings for the UAE. Judgment Ruchila Parijaguruj was accidentally hit in the head. Saim Ayub was bowling for Dhruv Parashar.
Fielder gathered the ball neatly and threw it back to the wicketkeeper. Mohammad Harris tried to return the ball to the bowler, but it hit Ruchira Parijaguruj behind his head.
Ruchira Pariyagur grabbed his ears as Pakistani players and their physics rushed to his aid for a concussion check. Play was temporarily stopped before he left uncomfortably. Reserve Judge Ghazi Sohel, an experienced Bangladeshi official with over 50 T20Is in his name, intervened as an alternative.

Straight to the head of the judge – Wasim Akram
Wasim Akram, who was in the commentary box, responded to the word “bullseye” when Slow hit the judge Luchira Parijagurug above his head. Akram later said that the fielder’s job was not to hit the judges, but many fans online felt they could have used more appropriate phrases.
“Straight to the head of the judge, what a throw! Bullseye! One job of Fielder is not to hit the judge…” Wasim Akram said in the commentary.

Chasing 147, the UAE lost an early wicket and collapsed at 37 in six overs. Rahul Chopra and Dhruv Parashar tried to stabilize the innings, but Pakistan tightened the grip as the home team was fired for 105 runs. Chopra won 35 out of 35 balls, including one four and one six.
UAE skipper Muhammad Washem chose to bowl first. Saim Ayub recorded his third straight duck in the opening, with the visitors falling to 9 at 2.4 overs. Fakhar Zaman and Salman Ali Agha added a 61 run stand at the third wicket. Zaman reached half a century from 35 balls.
Pakistan appeared to be trying to score over 160, but the middle order collapsed, losing four wickets with just 23 runs. Shaheen Afridi smashed 29 balls out of 29 balls and lifted the side to 146 with 9 in 20 overs.
Junaid Siddique was a UAE bowler pick, earning four-fourths, Simranjeet Singh added 3 to 26, and Dhruv Parashar claimed one wicket.
Salman Ali Agha’s form is a concern for men on the greens as he averages 7.67 and scores 23 runs in three matches and scores 20 with a strike rating of 57.50.
