PBKS successfully defended the lowest score in IPL history and registered a 16-run victory
The Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to hit first in the match. However, they were unable to make the most of their decisions and all scored low scores.
PBKS started the match very well with Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh playing offensive cricket brands in power playovers. The young Punjab Kings opening duo added 39 runs together, but the firing of Priyansh Aliya opened the floodgates for them.
The King of Punjab suddenly went 15.3 over from 39/0 to 11/10. Prabhsimran Singh was his team’s top scorer with 30 runs under his belt, while Priyansh Arya blasted 22 runs. Other batters who touched the 10-run mark were Shashank Singh and Nehar Wadhera.
In defending the total, the Punjab king got off to a decent start as Marco Jansen and Xavier Bartlett rejected the opener. Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi then stabilized the KKR innings and took the team to 62/1.
However, Ajinkya Rahane’s firing caused a collapse, with the Kolkata Knight rider bowling out at 95 in 15.1 overs.
Star all-rounder Andre Russell, who lived on KKR’s hopes, was cast by Marco Jansen on the first ball on the 16th, and the match ended.
After leaving, the KKR star appeared absolutely devastated and he was seen holding his head in disappointment. Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings player erupted with joy, and Praytisinta, who was in the stand, was seen with a billion dollar smile on her face, jumping and clapping like a child.
