An interesting incident occurred between fielding coaches at Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Batter Shimron Hetmyer. After Hetimer dropped the catch during practice, Yannick pulled him along the ground with his shirt.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host Rajasthan Royals in the 42nd match of IPL 2025 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, April 24th. RCB has won five wins in eight games this season. In contrast, Rajasthan has been undergoing a tough campaign, winning two of two of his previous eight matches.

In a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on X (formerly known as Twitter), Dishant Yagnik dragged Simronhetmeyer along the ground after the batsman dropped a catch during training. The moment gave me laughter as Yagnik became a fun and memorable incident before any upcoming games.

Shimron Hetmyer is in the spotlight as Rajasthan Royals wants to beat RCB

Shimron Hetmyer has had a quiet season with IPL 2025 so far. He averaged 25.14 and only 176 runs from eight games, with a strike percentage of 153.04. He scored 52 runs against the Gujarat Titans (GT). However, he failed to finish the game on the team’s final two outings, raising concerns about his role as a finisher.

As RR prepares to play Royal Challenger Bengaluru, the left-handed batsman returned to the familiar venue of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where he once played as an RCB player. After not finishing the run chase in the last two games, he is under pressure to step up and contribute to the match.

Rajasthan Royals suffers four consecutive losses at IPL 2025

The Rajasthan Royals have lost four consecutive games and need to turn their form around to stay in playoff contests. Leading by Sanju Samson, they are currently in eighth place in the Points Table, with just four points from eight games.

The team lost their final two games despite winning. Against the Delhi Capitals, the game went into a super over after not chasing a nine-inning run in the final. Similarly, they lost to Lucknow’s Super Giants with a tight finish during the final over.

Meanwhile, the RCB has won against the Punjab Kings, accumulating 10 points from eight matches. All five wins at IPL 2025 are away from home.

They were defeated at home by Gujarat Titan, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings. In particular, RCB secured a nine-wicket victory over RR earlier this season.
