Shubman’s Gill question deeply injuring Akash about getting the injection
India is plagued by British batters during the final innings of Anderson Tendurkal Trophy 2025.
The English National Cricket Team has made the lives of Indian bowlers harder and has held Shubmangill under tremendous pressure while chasing their targets.
As Harry Brook and Joe Root were taking Indian bowlers to the cleaners, Shubman Gill was seen asking the injured Akash deeply to prepare for the bowl despite being blown away just before lunch.
In particular, Akash Deep hit his shin when Harry Brook returned to the bowler to hit the delivery during the morning session on the fourth day of the fifth Test.
After lunch, Shubman Gill used Mohammed Siraj and Prashidi Krishna in tandem before bringing in Washington Sundar, which he could not do any damage.
The Indian skipper then decided to return to pace and asked Akashdeep: “Injection Riya Kyatum?” Gill was going to ask Pacer if he was ready to bowl with a shot of painkillers.
He was eager to bring Akash back deeper into the offense, and former Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar said while speaking on air, “It shows that Gill wants to return to pace again after lunch.”

India must do what they did in the UK’s first innings – Dinesh Kaltik
Ahead of the fourth day’s play, former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik said that spin bowling will play a major role in the final innings.
“India has to do what they did in the UK’s first innings and consistently have to bowl a lot of pace, but I think the spin will play a role. Will it play a big role? That could be forced if a fast bowler doesn’t attack early, but ideally a pacer should take 60-70% of the swordsman.”
“Sheemers Deep and Shiraj play a big role. Deep looks like a guy who can guide the ball through the seams and get the wicket.
Meanwhile, former Indian head coach Rabbi Shastri said England needs to smash from their skins to get the job done. He said:
“There are a lot of grass on the surface, so things happen faster, so if England were even closer here, I think they would have doubled the work they did at Headingley.
