Sai Sudalsan gets an early lifeline when Simron Hemmia drops him
The opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan were the best of all teams in an ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Rajasthan Royals had a great opportunity to stop them from building a big partnership as spinner Mahesh Tekshana created the opportunity to win a wicket in its second in its own right.
However, it was spilled by Shimron Hetmyer and Sai Sudharsan, batting with 6 balls 10, extending their stay in the middle. In the second and fifth ball, Maheesh Theekshana bowled a half bolly outside the stump to Sai Sudharsan.
The Indian batter tried to dig into it towards the extra cover, but he couldn’t hold it down and hit Simron Hetiel’s hand straight. RR star Hetmee tried to grab the catch with a reverse cup but it hit her chest and the catch was dropped.
Meanwhile, Sai Sudarsan was unable to do much damage after gaining the lifeline as he was cleaned by Mahesh Tekshana on the 11th with 30 balls 39.
Theekshana bowled a full delivery to Sudarsan. Seeing Sai Sudalsan walking back to the dugout, Simron Hettiel fell to his lap and celebrated in joy.

We’re probably out of the tournament – Shane Bond
Prior to the match at the pre-match press conference, RR bowling coach Shane Bond said they are hurt as they lost many close games in the competition. He admits that their season is almost over and they will be trying to build a team for next year.
“The hardest part is that we played really well in 35 overs, in fact we were in control over a few games and maybe we were in positions that we should have won. You had to give the opposition credit.
“I think that’s what hurts us. We’re two (winning) and seven (loss), and we’re the Gees who can sit at the table, but now there’s nothing we can do. We’re probably out of the tournament in terms of the points table. We want to stay in the franchise.”
“It’s a real disappointment. We’re all competitive and we want to win. And when there are a lot of people who have worked really hard like our peers, we don’t expect them to just show up and make the move. Enough.”
