Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Axar Patel hasn’t had the kind of outing he’d hoped for in a bat in an ongoing game with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The match between the two teams takes place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Aqua Patel was forced to come early in the bat once again as the Delhi Capitals lost a quick wicket while chasing 164 targets against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The left-hander went out for the bat at 5am when Abhishek Porrel came out for the fifth time.
Axar Patel tried to stabilize the innings with KL Rahul and bring the Delhi Capitals back into the game. He also seemed offensive when he played some good shots, but Royal Challenger Bengaluru spinner Suyash Sharma finished his stay at the 9th crease.
On the fourth ball in the overs, Suyash Sharma fired with a full ball outside. There, Akyahl Patel attempted to hit an extra over, but in the end he slammed it far more straighter than what he intended. The ball was flattened to Tim David for a long time, and he caught safely to send packing of Delhi Capitals skippers.
What caught the attention of many was Suiyash Sharma’s reaction after removing Delhi Capitals skipper Akia Patel. The wrist spinner stared at death as the batter came out of the ground.

RCB posts a total of 163 for DC
Coming in the first innings, Royal Challenger Bengaluru recorded a total of 163 runs on the board. Phil Salt (37) and Virat Kohli (22) started off brilliantly with the bat, but after they came out there was less to agree with the Rajat Patidar-led side.
At one stage, royal challenger Bengaluru was reduced to 125 with seven, but ultimately Tim David (37*) held a great hand as he drove Bengaluru to 163 with seven. Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav chose two wickets each for the Delhi Capitals.
It’s very important to stick to length – Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav spoke about his spell on the ball and said it was important to stick to the length. He said he stuck to his plan with the ball before revealing his conversation with skipper Aqua Patel. Speaking to the broadcaster, he said:
“It’s very important to stick to the length. Obviously, when you get a wicket like this, it’s very important to spin the ball as a leg spinner. I think it’s good to hit the wicket because of this ground dimension.
“The chat with axar was about trying the ball, reading the batter’s mind, and having wickets sticky and taking wickets in the middle over. I don’t think there’s dew. That’s a good sign for RCB bowlers. 163 is total, but on this ground it’s scary.”
