Shreiyas Ayer welcomes Prabhsimran Singh with toss
Speaking in the toss, PBKS skipper Schreyas Iyer said he was optimistic about his team doing well after losing the toss first and batting. He said:
βYeah, we would have been on the field first. I played a lot here, but Iβm going to be the last person to judge if Iβm honest about this surface (Chacles). Itβs convenient to hit first. Looking at the records here, the team won the game first.
Shreiyas Ayer also thanked Punjab Kings fans for supporting their team through the competition. He said:
βYes, absolutely. The fans have always been impressed with every step into the stadium. Personally, I feel it is incredible to invigorate the boys in every game. Every time I get into the ground, I need that kind of vibration.
