Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has garnered praise for Arsenal, claiming he may have scored over the three goals he scored last night.

Gunner deserved a perfect victory at Emirates Stadium, with two great goals from Declan Rice and a third of Mikel Merino’s famous 3-0 victory.

Of course, the tie is not finished yet, but the second leg of the Bernabéu has yet to come, but Arsenal enters the game while taking command of the tie.

Bellingham was clearly impressed with Mikel Arteta’s side and stated that in many respects he and his teammates were lucky and that they were lucky that they didn’t bring about a major defeat.

See below as Fabrizio Romano posted a quote from Bellingham after the match…

England International said:

“To be honest, there’s no excuse… we only need to see ourselves. It’s similar to what happened to us throughout the season, but on a massive scale against Arsenal.”

Will Arsenal live to regret those missed opportunities?

Arsenal fans will be playing on Cloud Nine this morning after such a big win against such a big team, but we all know how quickly football can surprise you.

In recent years, we have seen a famous comeback from a similar deficit in the Champions League. Most notably, Barcelona defeated PSG 6-1 to overthrow a 4-0 first leg defeat, and Liverpool defeated Barca 4-0 years later to overturn the 3-0 deficit.

If anyone can do that in this race, it’s Real Madrid, so Arsenal might live to ease multiple top-class saves by Thibaut Courtois.

Still, Bellingham appears to be fully aware of Arsenal’s quality, but also admits that the Los Blancos are not in the best form of the season, so perhaps the big performance they need may be beyond them.
