Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee has reportedly already begun talks with the club about leaving the club in the January transfer window.
The Dutch international is currently struggling for minutes at Man United, with Ruben Amorim bringing in a new attacking player to provide further competition over the summer.
Zirksee did not impress much in his first season at Old Trafford, but now it looks like it will be even harder for him to get much playing time.
This is far from ideal for a World Cup year, and the 24-year-old is keen to secure a place in the Netherlands squad for next summer’s tournament.
Joshua Zirkzee already in talks to leave Manchester United
According to Graham Bailey, TBR footballZirkzee wants to leave and has already spoken to United officials about the matter.
Bailey said: “I have heard that Zirkzee has been in talks with United and they are aware of his situation. He wants to go to the World Cup final, but he is not going to accept the status quo.”
“It means relocation and will be resolved by January.”
As we reported in last week’s Daily Briefing, Zirksee is likely to be available this winter for around €35-40 million, with several clubs already showing interest.
Where next for Joshua Zirkzee?
Zirksee is believed to want to return to Italy and that could be an option with Juventus, AC Milan and Como all showing interest in him.
There is also interest from Premier League clubs, with Aston Villa, West Ham and Brighton mentioned as possible destinations.
It will be interesting to see how Zirkzee ends up, but it certainly seems very unlikely that he will be a United player by the end of January.
