West Bromwich Albion is considering the “ruthless” striker’s move on about Ryan Mason’s free transfer as a signature in his first summer, according to a recent report.
Mason can’t wait to start as the boss of the Buggies
On Monday, Buggy confirmed news that Ryan Mason has become the new head coach and signed a three-year contract after leaving Tottenham Hotspur. This will be the first permanent manager role at 33 years old. He won two provisional spells with Spurs as manager, but mainly worked as the first team coach under Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou.
Mason has made it clear that he is “excited” to be given the opportunity after putting his pen on paper to become West Brom’s new head coach, and that he is a job he is “excited” because of the club’s great infrastructure.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be appointed head coach of West Bromwich Albion. This is a huge club with great infrastructure and an incredible fanbase, and we are excited to be able to achieve it together.
“After talking at length to the people on the board and the club, I am sure Albion is the perfect place for me to be and I can’t wait to get started.

West Brom is considering a move to sign a “ruthless” ace for £0
As Mason stepped under the Hawthorne table, he wasted no time trying to strengthen his new team. According to the Scottish Sun, West Brom is squeezing the move to sign striker Lawrence Shankland.
Scotland International was off-contract at the end of this month and he is said to be evaluating options as Mind continues to discuss potential new deals with the forward. That’s because while Hearts struggled in the league during the 2024/25 season, the 29-year-old remains a threat in front of goals, providing nine times and 11 assists in all competitions.
Hart expects to be able to hold Shankland, but it’s not just the teams working to agree to a contract with players. West Brom has long been interested in the Scots who scored 53 goals in 138 premiership games and hopes soon clear the path of trading where his position as a free agent is relatively easy.
West Brom, dubbed “Ruthless” by Chris Sutton, contacted the player’s agents and measured his interest in moving to Hawthorne. Southampton is also watching and ready to attack, so Buggy isn’t just about pursuing.
