West Ham is planning a major change to the team this summer, with one of the players expected to arrive is Josh Brown Hill.
Edson Alvarez and Thomas Sousek are expected to leave West Ham during the summer transfer, so they will need to be replaced. However, the fact that clubs are trying to get financially familiar with the game means that low-cost options are being pursued.
One of them is Brown Hill, and the Burnley contract expires at the end of this month. He was on the radar at West Ham for a while and is now expected to move to London Stadium.
West Ham to sign Josh Brown Hill as a free agent
According to a soccer insider, former scout Mick Brown revealed West Ham is locked up in Brown Hill’s signature.
“It looks like Josh Brownhill is going to West Ham, and they’ve seen the deal.
It would be a big blow to Burnley. Because there’s no doubt that they wanted to protect him after the season he had. He is a player who delivers at least 7/10 performances each week. He is often not noticed, but he is very important and gives West Ham something different.
“I think he’s improving what they have at the moment and I think he’s a good expert to have in the dressing room all the time, I think that’s a good move for him and West Ham.
Brownhill, who scored 18 goals at Burnley last season, will be a very sensible signing for West Ham. But for now, it remains to be seen whether they will be able to get a deal on the line.
