According to Football Insider, Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid are all interested in signing Adam Wharton in January, but the young midfielder has no intention of leaving Crystal Palace mid-season.
Wharton joined Palace from his boyhood club Blackburn Rovers in 2024 but still has nearly four years left on his contract at Selhurst Park, so the south London club are in a strong position to reject his offer to join. Moreover, the 21-year-old clearly feels he has a place at Selhurst Park. There he was a regular in Oliver Glasner’s starting XI and has enjoyed playing in both the Premier League and Europe.
At his age, playing regularly is certainly important, especially with the World Cup coming up next summer and Whartons could earn a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for that competition, provided he continues to show his quality regularly.
