Derrick White evaluates the impact of Boston Celtics rookie Baylor Seaerman on the team.
The Boston Celtics are cruising to the 2025 NBA playoffs as they aim to win the back-to-back championship.
They are incredible form and are evident from their nine-game winning streak (second after the OKC Thunder’s 10-game winning streak).
The team’s core is leading well, but C has found a talented rookie this season. Yes, it’s only Baylor Syriarman who’s been playing consistent minutes in recent weeks.
Derrick White, the starting shooting guard for the Celtics, is undoubtedly the most useful insight into the Shireman. After all, the 24-year-old newcomer holds the same position.
Before the Celtics beat the Memphis Grizzlies 117-103, they dissected the abilities of the white Seahorman in a pre-match interview.
“He got the opportunity here in the last few games, and he definitely took advantage of it. He can do a few different things on the court as well as a shooter game, and he’s showing off the whole game.
“He knew he could give a little, but he definitely introduces it, just his sw awake and confidence.
Considering Scheierman is in his mid-20s, he brings a wealth of confidence. He is an NBA rookie, but the Celtics guards can affect the game in a number of ways.
Scheierman juggled his plays in the NBA and G-League. It may be difficult for some players, but the 24-year-old is actually using it and growing at an impressive speed.
So far, manager Joe Matzla has called out his number in 24 games this season. Scheierman averaged 3.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while playing 10.7 mpg.
If there’s one thing he can improve by earning more minutes behind the season, it’s his shooting.
Currently he’s shooting 37.3% from the field and 35.8% from the 3-point line.
