With the NBA currently in the offseason, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lukadon Sic is playing in the 2025 Eurobasket.
Luka Doncic is a Slovenian play in Group D of the Eurobasket in 2025. Slovenia will start a tournament with Poland.
Obviously, Doncic is currently in Poland and is preparing for the opening game. Prior to the match, Donsic was surprised to see Johnny Bass, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, and general manager Rob Perin.
After an astonishing deal with the Lakers, Donsic settled in his new organization. This is clear from Luka signing a three-year, $165 million contract extension with the team this summer.
Following this, Donsic immediately reported to the Slovenian basketball team. The Lakers have nothing to do with the tournament, but Buss spoke about the support of the Superstars.
“We want to support our country with stars who are dedicated to the national team, and we hope he wins the European Championship as well.
“I knew that if the Lakers had the opportunity to have someone like Luka, everything would be fine,” Bass told Exipa.
She added: “Luka saw that he had to handle things. He showed emotion and is now fully committed to the Lakers. During the Lakers season he’s working on building a winning team.
“We want to give Luka his first championship ring. He’s been to the finals, and now we want to give him the opportunity to become a champion.
Doncic will focus on the Lakers, but Bass now understands the importance of playing in Slovenia.
“We know how much it means to him to play for Slovenia. We want him to be happy. We support him and that’s why we’re here.”

Bus also spoke about how the Lakers have done the same thing in the past with players like Pogasol and Kobe Bryant.
The 17-time NBA champion continues this tradition with Doncic. The five times the NBA All-Star felt that he paid tribute to the actions of Lakers executives.
“The visits from Jeannie Bass and Rob Perinka mean a lot to me. I realized they had a long journey before them. We had lunch together today. I’m very grateful that they are here.
“They are very supportive of me and it’s an honor that they came. I’m really grateful for that,” Donsic said every 24UR.
Following an overwhelming run during the exhibition game, Slovenia wants to bounce back in Poland with a solid victory to launch its Eurobasket 2025 campaign.
