The Los Angeles traded Dustin May for the Boston Red Sox in the final minutes before the 3pm trading deadline on Thursday.

The May name has been trade rumours in recent weeks, and the right-hander will begin the next chapter of his career in Boston.
As for what the received in exchange for May, LA has acquired Red Sox outfielder prospect James Tibbs III, according to MLB insider Robert Murray. Tibbs was acquired by the Red Sox by the San Francisco Giants of Rafael Devers trade.
Tibbs hit .232 with 13 home runs and hit 39 runs in 87 appearances in both High-A and Double-A this season.
May got the off to a final start on Sunday, ironically allowing four runs in five innings against the Red Sox. He recorded five strikeouts with a performance of 77 pitches.
In May, he sports 4.85 ERA with 97 strikeouts and 1.346 whips in 104 innings this season. He ranked second in the pitched innings this season, showing that he could pitch in peace as he served as the bulk arm behind Shohai Otani.
