Manchester United will soon be looking for an alternative to their biggest earner, Casemiro.
The central midfielder, working at over £18 million per season, £350,000 a week, has linked to the Old Trafford exit for the past 12 months.
He remains a player for the Red Devils for now, but looks at the youth alongside Reuben Amorim, Ir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos and plans for the future.

Eight goalkeepers who can replace Andre Onana with Man Utd
United will be following the new “keeper after the next transfer window…
Over the weekend he sneaks under Manchester United for a monotonous goalless draw against Man City.
With that in mind, we were able to target ten Midfielders Man UTDs replacing Casemiro.
1
Ederson
Ederson
Atalanta
Deeply linked to the move to Old Trafford over the past six months is Adason of Atalanta.
United reportedly held internal consultations on the Brazilians’ moves labeled “well-built central midfielder.” However, the Red Devils are not a devourable club, so they may need to act quickly.

Frenkey de John
Frenkey de John
Barcelona
United have been linked to the movement of Frenkie de John for years, but will 2025 be the year Dutch finally move to Manchester?
Last summer, the transfer was discussed with De Jong, who was seen as a possible long-term upgrade for Casemiro. He continues to be impressed with the Catalan giants, so there’s no shock when Man Utd comes back.
3
Aurelien Tchouameni
Aurelien Tchouameni
real madrid
The ambitious target is Real Madrid star Aurelien Chuameni, but his name was mentioned in the media in 2025 as a target for Man UTD.
Called “one of the best defensive midfielders on the planet,” Tchouameni will certainly cost as much as Casemiro.
Eintrak Frankfurt
A report earlier this year suggested that Man Utd is ready to spend this summer signing Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson.
Although Larson is rated at around £50 million, he has made great strides in Germany since joining Frankfurt in 2023. Additionally, Sweden’s international full, Larson is valued at 35 million euros (£29.8 million) by the Transfer Mark.

Morten hjulmand
Morten hjulmand
Sports CP
When Manuel Ugarte moved from Sports CP to PSG, Morten Fujrmand was signed to replace the midfield and has since starred in Portugal.
Therefore, Amorim is very familiar with Denmark International and it is reportedly that Man UTD was in Paul’s position to sign Hjulmand at the end of 2024, so he could become another target.
6
Adam Wharton
Adam Wharton
Crystal Palace
Currently, one of the brightest British midfielders is Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace.
At the age of 21, Wharton was a regular in the Eagles Premier League and a full-england international who took part in a large tournament. Ineos appears to be targeting the young star of Old Trafford, with more than £60 million travels to Man UTD for Wharton recently.

Joao Gomes

Wolves
Another Premier League option for Man UTD to replace Casemiro could lead to wolf midfielder Joao Gomes.
The Brazilian has been a regular on Molineux in recent years and was reportedly appointed Old Trafford before Ugarte arrived. United are still keen on Gomez, so if they give way, we might see them lined up with two of them for the Red Devils.
8
Leon Goretzka
Leon Goretzka
Bayern Munich
A highly-prominent option with a great deal of experience at the highest level is Leon Goretzka from Bayern Munich.
Germany has won 11 major honors at Allianz Arena, including the Champions League, with Mann UTD linked to movements over the past six months. But Goretzka’s huge wages of £215,000 per week can be a problem.
9
Exequiel Palacios
Exequiel Palacios
Bayer Leberkusen
The World Cup winner in Argentina and Bundesliga champion against Bayer Lebakusen, Excial Palacios could be a clever addition at a reasonable price for the Red Devils.
At 26 years old, it can be argued that Palacios is in his prime and has more high levels of years than he. After learning as one of the best midfielders at Xabi Alonso, Man Utd might be wise to revisit his interests in 2024.
10
Christian Odnez
Christian Odnez
Velez Sarsfield
As Ineos looks at the future, we might consider replacing people like Casemiro with promising young people like Christian Ordonez.
He had previously been attacked as an alternative to Old Trafford’s Casemiro on a contract that exceeded £8 million. The 20-year-old is known as “one of the strongest people” in Argentina, so Man Utd was able to land a future star in Ordonez.
