The 23-year-old showed continued growth in the division, allowing him to impress the Lakers to ultimately score a better deal.
Considering that Kaluma signed the exhibit 10 deal, it means he won a shot at the Lakers training camp.
If he was impressed there, he could win a nod for a preseason game and last a two-way contract. However, he needs to perform better than during the summer league.
Kaluma’s most notable contributions were 4.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in the summer league.
The Lakers seem to trust Karma to reach his NCAA Heights, at least in terms of rebounds. After all, he led the team in game-by-game rebounds in his final year with the Texas Longhorns.
