The Golden State Warriors are looking for reinforcements as they were unable to add a single player between the free agents.
ESPN Insider Brian Windhorst believes the Golden State Warriors will have two signatures in the near future.
In the meantime, the Golden State Warriors are working with rosters they can use and are exercising if they have players who can add from the Summer League roster.
It’s already two undrafted rookies stand out, including LJ Cryer, one of the most prolific three-point shooters in college basketball.
He didn’t play in a 103-93 victory with the Utah Jazz, and it was Gabe Madsen who stole the show.
Gabe Madsen started the game on the bench as the Warriors faced jazz in the Vegas summer league.
Madsen played for 16 minutes, earning six three pointers, shooting six from the field, 12 from 3 to 12, 12 at 12.
He finished the team with a 22-point team from a 58% shooting night. He also added one rebound and one assist.
Gabe Madsen was not drafted in 2025 after spending four seasons in college with the Utah Utes.
The Wisconsin-born 24-year-old stands 6 feet 6 inches and plays as a shooting guard. He averaged 15.3 points per game in college last season.
He scored over 1,000 points and broke Utah’s all-time record with a three-point scoring.
This included big 12 records from eight three-pointer seasons in the game on the roads of Cincinnati.
Last season, Kansas opposition Bill Self paid tribute to Madsen after a 74-67 defeat to Utah.
He told Sports 24/7:
“And he probably won’t get the credit he deserves to be athletic because he can create separations.
It’s always a big demand for an undrafted rookie to go to the main roster from Summer League, but Madsen has a chance to win a two-way deal with the Warriors.
For a team synonymous with 3-point shooting, Madsen could be a perfect fit.
