The Oklahoma City Thunder are still making moves to improve their roster.
All in all, the 2025-26 NBA season will be crucial for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they look to retain their championship.
While the Thunder have made few changes to their star core, the organization continues to experiment with roster depth.
With that in mind, the Thunder have now signed Victor Raquin to an undisclosed but likely Exhibit 10 contract.
Raquin was expected to be a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. However, he suffered a torn tendon in his left foot and was undrafted.
The 6-foot-11 forward weighed 247 pounds and averaged 9.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game during his NCAA career, shooting 54.2 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from the 3-point line.
| statistics | Freshers (2021-22) | 2nd year (2022-23) | Junior (2023-24) | Senior (2024-25) |
| point | 4.2 PPG | 11.6 PPG | 9.2 PPG | 11.4 PPG |
| rebound | 3.5 RPG | 7.1 RPG | 6.0 RPG | 6.4 RPG |
| assist | 0.2APG | 0.5APG | 1.7 APG | 1.5APG |
The Russian-born forward has had his fair share of ups and downs during his NCAA career, which explains why he was projected to be a second-round pick.
Despite being an undrafted prospect, Raquin seemed to impress the NBA’s reigning champions. After all, the Thunder previously had him on their NBA Summer League roster.
Rakkin’s impressive performance earned him a new contract with the Thunder, but it will likely be a non-guaranteed deal ahead of the regular season.
But remember, OKC still has two-way spots left on its roster. Therefore, if Rakin does well enough to impress Mark Denault, he could earn consistent playing time in the G League.
Of course, the ultimate goal for him is to earn a standard contract from OKC, and performing well in the G League could be a great way to do that.
