Since 2022, the Octagonma has taken Germany by storm. The Octagon MMA first arrived in Germany, and was found by Losene Keita and Ivan Buchinger at an event in Frankfurt. On the card was Christian Eckerlin, a German MMA legend like Stephen Puetz and Martin Zawada, and one of Germany’s most continued people.

But why did the Octagon MMA attract Germany? The reason is that they provide the fans with a fight and the fighter they want to play at their biggest stage. Oktagonmma gave birth to superstars like Deniz Ilbay and Max Holzer.
With such a matchup, they sell out arenas like the UFC without challenge. In October 2024, the Octagon MMA shattered the MMA records by selling out Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany. Oktagon 62 attended 59,148 fans. It was an absurd event that two biggest stars, German MMA Christian Eckerlin and Christian Johnvers, allegedly. Also, Max Koga was on the card.
At Octagon 62, the Octagon MMA crowned Christian Eckerlin as “King of Germany” after a dominant victory over Johnvilles. Bringing that momentum into 2025, they have already sold out three events in Germany, with only one fight announced at Oktagon73 in June, already sold out, with Eckerlin v Pukac.
For a long time in Germany, promotions such as GMC and Welovemma struggled to sell out small venues. Octagon MMA has grown the brand in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, already captivated European MMA fans, then expanded to Germany to book shows at its largest arena.
