The third baseman, Max Muncie, has a $10 million club option for next season.
You’d think the Los Angeles will pick it up, taking into account the value of Muncie’s production on the field and the trade that corresponds to his value in the clubhouse.

At the same time, Muncie will turn 35 later this month. The injuries have started to pile up – and if this season teaches the something, getting younger is probably a way to move into the future.
Longtime MLB expert Jon Heyman has appeared in the walk-off segment (consulted by Bleacher Report). One topic he touched on was the status of imminent free agent Murakami Munetaka. The slugging infielder is reportedly heading towards Major League Baseball this offseason. At 25, he considers it a hot product for his team in search of power.
Many teams were mentioned in the fictional Murakami sweepstakes. Among them was the . Heyman touched on his position with Muncie and admitted that there was still some productivity left in the veteran three bases, but the were able to choose to work with both Murakami and Muncie in some form or fashion.
Murakami is one of Japan’s most prolific position players. The left-handed slugger already has 248 career homers in eight professional seasons dating back to the age of 18.
I have a few questions about his abilities from a defensive perspective. Some consider him the first basehand/DH type. That being said, he checks out many boxes, from legitimate power to an impressive career op of .940. For the right scale, he is also a career .273 batter.
Murakami needs to work on bat-to-ball skills. He probably does more than some people. At the same time, the pop he has should be the guy who hits 25-30 home runs a year in the perfect world.
