French flanker Axelle Berthoumieu has dropped from 12 to nine in appeal after seeing the ban on bites in the quarterfinals against Ireland at the Rugby World Cup on Sunday.
Berthoumieu admitted that he was bitten by Aoife Wafer in his 18-13 victory at Sandy Park on Sunday.

An independent disciplinary committee on Tuesday found that her suspension was too long due to procedural errors, leading to a three-game cut.
Berthoumieu will not play a better role in the World Cup.
Her French teammate Manet Fehr was removed from the remaining tournament due to a ban on three matches for dangerous tackle.
