The 2025 Women’s Six Nations will start on Saturday, with Ireland holding France in Belfast, followed by Scotland and Wales in Edinburgh.
Defending Champion England will hold Italy in York on Sunday, closing out week one.
We look forward to a lot, so there are five players to watch out for while the tournament is underway.
1. Ellie Kildun
Yes, not to mention that, all eyes will once again become outstanding Ellie Kirdinne at both this year’s Six Nations and the World Cup. The explosive fullback stole the show in 2024 and led many metrics including trys scored, total points, metres carried, metres earned, and line breaks. A explosive ball runner who feels like he’s been caught up in a hurricane by a defender, Kildun is one of the game’s real superstars.
These performances saw the World Rugby Female Player of the Year, which was named in December. Kildun is about to issue a statement of intent ahead of the World Cup.
Kildunne will probably be placed on the side Abby Dow and Jess violation With wings, create a powerful English back 3.
2. AoifeWafer
One of the few players not from England or New Zealand, selected as World Rugby Team of the Year in 2024, Aoife Wafer is the enforcer of both sides of the ball. Only 21 years old, Irish backrow dominates with injury and strong defenders.
Wafer was a standout performer in Ireland’s historic victory over New Zealand last year, scoring two tries. Ireland definitely wants to kick this time, so look for wafers to make an impact.
3.
The smooth winger whose Trice Scoring Record speaks for itself, Marine Menagher hopes to add more to her tally in 2025. Menagher is the key to France’s offense, and when she stands out at the final World Cup, all eyes will enter the purpose with fans who hope she will repeat those Hugics.
Her first Test will be held at the Six Nations, with France knocking out England for the first time since 2018 and looking to win the title for the first time.
4. Holly Aichison
The England No. 10 jersey is iconic and has a great responsibility that comes with it. Holly Aitchison embraced the pressure and rose to the opportunity at both the club and international levels.
A dynamic and quick fly half, Aitchison has an impressive pass that can split open opposition defenses in the blink of an eye. England definitely craves ruthlessly for a ruthless, clinical performance for the World Cup, so Aitchison is tasked with moving the sides and putting pressure on them at every moment.
5. Sophie Barrett
Sophie Barrett, one of the eight uncap players on the Irish team, is looking to mark, has been named the 20224 Women’s Six Nations Summer Series MVP, and will be tasked with stepping up this year.
After a successful Celtic Challenge tournament at Cloverside, Barrett adds depth to his backrow stock, bringing a good shape to the competition.
